The Project Inspiration

Image of two books, Tiny Moons and At the Ponds

I have a habit of watching cycling videos on YouTube. Whilst recording videos and editing them sounds like my version of hell, I do love to watch these videos. They make me want to get out on my bike, and I admire the creators who put so much time and effort into making something beautiful or useful to share.

Additionally, over the last few years, I’ve read a couple essay collections and memoirs that really evoke a sense of place. These in combination with realising that getting out on my bike makes me feel present, has given me the desire to create something that helps me chase that feeling.

I want to push myself to ride my bike, slow down, reflect and feel like I am part of city in which I live. So, the thought was to write about it because I definitely won’t be filming it.
